David Gallo recently did a breath-taking presentation at TED, in which he showed a series of videos of truly mesmerizing creatures living in the deep and shallows of the mysterious and mostly unexplored oceans. I thought the video of the male squid attempting to court the female by showing his softer side (a brownish color) on one side of his body, while maintaining his tough/aggressive (white color) on the other to a lurking male, to be particularly amusing.
